Good Samaritan volunteering, January 11th

Volunteer Opportunity at The Good Samaritan Inn This Saturday, 1/11/25

Central volunteers will prepare and serve a meal at The Good Samaritan Inn this Saturday, January 11th.  We could use 6 volunteers for prep and 8 volunteers to help serve.

If you are free to come and help or if you have any questions about serving, please let David Wagner or Shirley Swarthout know.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - Seeking door hosts for the DOVE Children's Clothing Room & Preschool

2025 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Beginning February 2025, the following volunteers are needed:

• Central Preschool Host – 1^st, 3^rd, and 5^th Wednesdays each month from 8:30 – 12 noon (any or all 3 shifts) in the Children’s Lobby. Hosts welcome children and their parents at “drop-off” time, man the desk during preschool hours/help with easy preschool tasks if requested and send off children and their parents at “pick-up” time.
• DOVE Clothing Room Host – 2^nd 3^rd and 4^th Mondays of each month from 1:00 – 3:30 p.m.  (any shift(s) you can do) at the West Entrance.  NO special training is needed!  You are highly qualified if you have a welcoming smile and can direct shoppers to Room 407.

Central is fortunate to house our thriving Preschool and DOVE’s Children’s Clothing Room and we encourage your help in continuing these valuable community ministries.  Please contact Sandy Garver if you have questions or are interested in the above positions.

Member in Search of Ride to Services

We have a member who has moved to the Mt. Zion area who is in need of a ride to church.  If you would be willing to give this member a ride to church, please call the church office, and we will connect you with them.

2nd Monday Good Samaritan Volunteering

The second Monday of each month, volunteers from CCC help prepare and serve lunch at Good Samaritan Inn.  Shifts to work are 9:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. to prepare and 11:30a.m. - 1:30p.m. to serve (standing for 2 hrs). It's very rewarding work and much appreciated.  If this appeals  to you and you have the time to give, call or text Judy Ford or contact the church office.
