Thank you for donations to the Moms & Babies Program!
Dorcas Disciples thank all of you who generously donated money and items to our Christmas recipient, the Moms and Babies program at Decatur’s Correctional Center. Your response was phenomenal and was greatly appreciated by the program’s incarcerated mothers and their babies.
This program supports mothers in developing and nurturing bonds with their infants. Goals are to continue a reduction in the re-offense rate for participants and reduce chances for these children someday continuing the cycle of incarceration. Director Megan Wallar reported that the Moms and Babies program has an 83% success rate! THANK YOU FOR HELPING!!
