Advent Family Fun 2024

You are invited to the Advent Family Fun Event for the whole family on Sunday, December 8, from 4-6pm. We will meet in the Disciples Room and create crafts, make a small gift for our outreach members, enjoy a yummy pasta meal, and hear a familiar story. Come and connect with other Central families as we prepare to remember and celebrate the gift of God’s love to us – Jesus!

Love & Kindness stones

In the Sunday School class of our younger children, they read and discussed kindness, based on an act of kindness by King David in the book of 2 Samuel. In response to the story, the children selected stones (with letters on them) to paint. Afterwards, they unscrambled the stones to form the words “love” and “kindness”. When they found the hidden words, they chose to place the stones in front of the church to spread their kindness and love to all. Stephani Martin and Julie Martin teach this Sunday School class.

Blessing Board, Oct 2024

Thanks to everyone who added a blessing to the Blessing Board. Here are some of the blessings given and received by our church family in the past month.

Friends in faith, my kids and nephew, donuts, God loves and forgives me freeing me to love others, church, family, friends, supportive family and in-laws, for very helpful therapy, my mom going to the park with me, fall weather, E, ears and the ability to hear my kids laugh, my family, my boys, brother Bob’s life, the strength and patience to be a care giver, baby, a job that offers a lenient schedule if needed, my family and friends, a work family that is understanding, the world, eyes and the ability to watch my kids grow, God’s beautiful fall foliage, food, mom, dad, Mimi and papa, blessings of family, we gave money to family in the Philippines, I helped Ellie with math.

We are blessed to be a blessing!

Thanks so much - Hay Ride & Trunk or Treat

Thanks to Gerri Munos and Diana Ritter for organizing and helping Central host our Trunk or Treat for the community last Saturday, October 26. It was a beautiful fall day, with hundreds of children and their families coming out to enjoy games, the bounce house, snow cones, and lots of treats. Thanks, also, to everyone who hosted a trunk and helped with the games and activities.

We want to thank Tom and Diana Ritter for hosting a wiener roast and hayride for Central on Sunday, October 27, at their home in Blue Mound. The weather was perfect. The food was delicious, and the fellowship was great. More than 70 were there to join the fun - from preschoolers to retirees. It was a wonderful weekend of connecting with one another and with the community.
