Scripture House
Our theme for July is Construction of a Disciple.
A well-built foundation is below the structure/ house. It is the load bearing part of the structure. It supports the weight and keeps the house in place. What scripture(s) have served as part of your own disciple house’s foundation?
You are invited to post your foundation verses on a Disciple Scripture House located near our worship areas. You will easily find the three dimensional ‘house’ in the Friendship Center and the Fellowship Hall Worship area.
Some post-it notes will be placed nearby along with a couple of pens to write your verse citations. Proverbs 3:5-6, Romans 8:26-28, Jeremiah 31:33-34, Isaiah 43:19, Micah 6:8, John 3:16, Matthew 5:3-12, Psalm 121, Matthew 28:19-20 and Romans 14:19 are already posted. You may post your top two or three. Please put only one citation per post-it.
The foundations of our lives may not be visible to others, but hopefully we know what they are for ourselves. And more importantly, it is my hope that our lives illuminate God’s word to those around us, as we go about our everyday lives.
